NAPE Project

<< go back
  • Duration: 35 months

  • Execution Period: 02/2022 – 12/2024

  • Research Centers: Centro Stirling, Tecnalia

  • Budget: €698,825

  • Funding: Partially co-financed by CDTI. Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)

  • Location: Facilities of the participating centers and companies

Main Objective:
The main goal of the NAPE project is to develop new applications for furniture and household appliances. These new applications include wireless charging and power supply for electronic devices in office desks, as well as an innovative noise reduction and sound communication system integrated into the office desk itself. All of this is made possible through the use of new WPT and piezoelectric devices created via digital functional printing—such as inkjet and aerosol jet—using newly developed functional inks, which are also part of the project’s scope.

Specific Technical Objectives:

  • Development of wireless power transfer (WPT) applications printed with functional inks using screen printing, inkjet, and aerosol jet technologies.

  • Development of sound-related devices printed with functional inks using inkjet technology.

  • Development of an active noise reduction system using sound devices produced via inkjet and integrated into furniture.

  • Characterization and analysis of the ink/substrate interaction of the new inks developed by Torrecid.

  • Fine-tuning of aerosol jet printing processes using new conductive inks developed by Torrecid.
