PIEZOFER Project
-
Duration: 30 months
-
Execution Period: 05/2025 – 10/2027
-
Research Centers: Tekniker
-
Participating Entities: Implaser and Tecnoseñal
-
Budget: €522,075
-
Funding: Partially co-financed by CDTI. Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
-
Location: Facilities of the participating centers and companies
Main Objective:
The overall goal of the PIEZOFER project is to develop a new, more sustainable piezoelectric system for integration into railway infrastructure. The energy generated by train-induced vibrations and captured by the piezoelectric system will be stored and used to send signals from a piezoelectric sensor installed in the same system. The signal will then be analyzed and compared by a centralized system to identify deviations from normal vibration patterns. This will enable early monitoring and detection of anomalies in the railway infrastructure.
